Procurement offers a clear and rewarding career path—even if you’re starting with no prior experience.
1. Start with an Entry-Level Role Most people begin with roles like Procurement Specialist, Assistant Buyer, or Procurement Analyst. These positions involve placing orders, researching suppliers, managing purchase requests, and gaining hands-on experience with how businesses operate.
Our Supply Chain Procurement Course is built to prepare you for one of these roles. You’ll learn core skills like sourcing, contract management, negotiation, and spend analysis. We also include job search guidance, interview prep, and community support.
2. Move Up With Experience With just 1–3 years of experience, you can grow into advanced roles such as Senior Buyer, Category Manager, or Procurement Infrastructure Manager. These positions involve strategic planning, vendor negotiations, and managing procurement teams or budgets. Pay typically rises with these roles. Pay varies with location, employer and experience. The Supply Chain Procurement course page shows the typical starting salary for this career.
