Does CourseCareers support accommodations for students with disabilities?

Updated July 3, 2025

CourseCareers supports reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Since our courses are fully online and self-paced, many accommodations are already naturally built into the learning experience.

To request accommodations, please provide documentation from a licensed professional (such as a physician, psychologist, or educational specialist) confirming your need.

We’re Here to Help You Succeed

We want all students to succeed. If you have a disability and believe an accommodation would help you better understand or complete the course, please let us know. Be specific about your needs, and we’ll let you know how we can support you. Our goal is to ensure that every graduate understands the material well enough to earn the trust of employers hiring CourseCareers students.

Classroom Accommodations

  • Courses are 100% online and self-paced — there are no physical classrooms, live lectures, or required group interactions.

  • You may complete the material at your own pace and from any location.

Assistive Technology

  • You are allowed to use screen readers, speech-to-text software, and other assistive tools to navigate the course and complete your exam.

  • While we do not provide or support specific software, you're welcome to test your preferred tools on our platform ahead of time to ensure compatibility.

  • You are also welcome to use a note taker or other personal support methods during your study time, but CourseCareers does not provide these services directly.

Testing Accommodations

  • Final exam format: Most final exams are proctored and taken online. We do not have a physical office location.

  • Extended time: You may take up to 3 hours for the final exam. This time limit is due to our proctoring partner, Integrity Advocate, which may time out the session after 3 hours.

  • Distraction-reduced setting: You may take your exam in any quiet environment that meets your needs.

  • Extra exam attempts: We offer two attempts by default, but if your accommodation requires more, we’re happy to provide additional attempts at no cost.

If you let us know before taking the exam, we can inform the exam grader so tools like screen readers won’t raise compliance concerns if an acceptable issue is flagged by the proctoring system.

If you need accommodations, contact us with your documentation and details about what support you’re requesting. We’re committed to helping you succeed.
