Why don't some courses have testimonials?

There are several reasons why some of our courses may not have student testimonials:

1. Job tracking depends on self-reporting. We do not currently have an automated way to track job placements. Students must return and let us know if they’ve landed a job so we can request a testimonial. Unfortunately, many don’t check back in after getting busy with full-time work.

2. Some students don’t follow through. Even when students share their success, not everyone wants to record a testimonial. Some agree to do one but never follow through, while others are camera-shy or prefer to keep their career journey private.

3. Some courses are newer. We’re continuously adding new courses. These newer options may not yet have a large pool of job-ready graduates or enough who’ve reported back. The more graduates a course has, the more likely we are to receive testimonial submissions.

4. Some career paths are more competitive. We research job market trends and assess how many openings are available when determining how easy it is to land a job in each career path. We’re transparent about this with a difficulty scale shown on our homepage for every course.

5. Results vary based on the economy and individual effort. The current job market and economy can affect how long it takes to get hired. Outcomes also vary depending on personal factors—such as how well a student applies themselves, their communication skills, and how they present themselves to employers. CourseCareers provides the training and tools, but success still requires commitment and consistent follow-through.
