I would like general information about the CourseCareers final exam.

Updated October 25, 2026

To graduate, receive your CourseCareers Certificate of Completion, and gain access to the Job Search course, you must earn a passing grade on your final exam. Depending on your course, your final grade may be based on one or more of the following: a proctored exam, a project, and/or a video presentation. All parts of the final exam, including projects and video submissions, are uploaded in the Final Exam section of your course.

Grading

Multiple-choice questions are graded automatically upon submission. All other answers, including projects and videos, are reviewed and graded by a trained evaluator using a standardized rubric to ensure fairness and consistency for all students. Exam submissions should be graded within 72 business hours.

Attempts & Retakes

You are allowed 2 free Final Exam attempts. After that, you can retake the final exam as many times as you want for $50 per attempt. If your exam includes multiple parts, the $50 covers all parts.

Proctoring Requirements

Most exams are proctored using a third-party service, so you’ll need a laptop or desktop with a working camera that meets our technical requirements.

Time Limit

While we do not enforce a time limit for taking the exam, a couple of students reported being timed out after around 3 hours. This is likely due to session limits with our proctoring service, so we do recommend completing the proctored exam within 3 hours. Most students complete their exam well within this timeframe.
